How to Maintain the SD501
With Well Water

If client is on well water; you NEED to indicate on the Product Order Form "Calibrate For Well Water."

Are the Enagic machines compatible on well water?

Yes and No. In some cases customers have not been successful in producing Kangen Water when using a well. A lot of times it is because the well water is either very acidic, contains carbon acidic gas, or both. In that case you may need to make adjustments to your well water and to the machine. Have the well water tested (locally.)

The only adjustment Enagic offers is well water calibration, but sometimes even after calibration it is still difficult to produce the right pH levels.

It is very important when selling a machine to a customer who has a well that you do the research and find out what is contained in their water, as well as the pH level.
If your well water contains sulfur, there is no way our machine will work properly unless you get some type of pre filtration to remove the sulfur before the water is run through the machine.

If the well water is acidic (below 7 pH), Enagic offers re-calibration.
You NEED to indicate on the Product Order Form "Calibrate For Well Water."

If the well water is not acidic (7 pH +), but is either hard or has contaminants, then pre-filtration and/or softening may be needed, and is up to the consumer to choose either whole house or at the tap solutions.

If water runs through the machine without pre filtration to remove the sulfur, the water produced will smell like rotten eggs. If your well water does not contain sulfur, carbon acidic gas, or is not very acidic, then you should not have any problems producing the correct levels.

You can get a pre-filter from Enagic called the KDF filter. These external filters are sold separately or together as a 3 stage filter combination (sediment filter, KDF filter and ion exchange filter):

KDF and Ion Exchange together (or 3 stage filter) is $173
Ion Single Stage is $70, and /or Ion Exchange (or 2 stage filter
- similar to a water softener) is $103.

If you have a well and you do not have a water softener, you should consider an Ion Exchange Filter and Filtersorb Cartridge to protect your investment and extend the life of your machine. FOR DETAILS SEE BOTTOM OF PAGE.

Tip:...Use the reusable citrus cartridge with E-Cleaner to clean your SD501. Pick a certain day of the week that works for you, and clean your unit on that day or night every week.

Tip:... Run a gallon of the 5.5 Beauty Water every morning into a large pitcher or a gallon jug. This will help to "sluff off" and remove calcium & lime and other mineral buildup from the titanium plates, as it reverses the polarity of the 230 watt current on the plates. Your plants will love it!

NOTE: San Antonio, TX - Deep Cleaning

In San Antonio, John Mathis, does SD501 deep cleaning on weekends. His fee is $50. He asks that the unit be taken to a Team Leaders home so that he can pick up several units at one time and clean them. Otherwise, he may have to charge extra for his time and gas.

Contact John Mathis at Avanti@satx.rr.com
Home: (210) 828-2049; Mobile: (210) 909-1913.
He works full time; so leave a message and he will contact you. I recommend also sending an email.

A water softener is recommended in a hard water area, such as Texas, however, if that is not within your current budget, you can purchase a 3 phase filter from Enagic.
